chicken porridge - very bland and just tastes like egg, please do not order double kaya butter toast - even though we ordered double already, the butter still did not cover the entire toast but anyways crispy and still good, just would be better if they were more generous with the butter and kaya
Nice environment for breakfast. Ordered a Big English Breakfast, Mee Siam set with Kopi O + Kaya/Butter toast and soft boiled egg. Love the soft boiled eggs, had second cup of Kopi O too. The staff are all friendly and efficient. The overall breakfast experience was great. Prices are reasonable. I will definitely come try other dishes Went back the next day for lunch to try the famous chicken chop and fried carrot cake The chicken chop tastes great even without the sauce. The fried carrot cake was fried crispy and don't forget to ask them for sambal sauce, it was fabulous. U must not miss trying their Kopi O, very traditional and authentic.
3 time visit. 1st visit having laksa n black pepper beef. laksa is good. but the black pepper beef chewy n tasted not what I expected. not recommended. 2nd visit try fried vermicelli n nasi lemak. vermicelli tasteless n nasi lemak rice portion big but not so fragrance n the sambal too little. 3rd visit we order fried rice chicken. once serve the smell was so good n tasted also good portion huge but sadly why suddenly have 2 tiny prawn n not fresh smell bad.. again we order laksa coz 1st visit tasted so good. n this time a bit salty n the gravy a bit thick also compare with 1st visit.
The fried carrot cake with egg was delicious. The laksa was not bad. It could be more rich, though. The fried chicken was nice, though not fantastic nice as claimed.
One of the branches of a famous Johore brand. Famous for their hainanese style western food but in reality a kaleidoscope of food culture all into one location. Here you can have breakfast, Malay dishes, tze char and anything under the sun of this region. The Chinese staff is very helpful. She help me shift into the more cooler interior as the alfresco area is getting hotter in the day. Food is nicely delivered. Chicken cutlets is done well without excessive oil dripping. Original sauce is forgettable but their butter sauce is great. Chicken chop is done to standard. Love their garlic bread with soft boiled eggs. Good pairing and flavours. Their Malaysian drinks selection didn't disappoint. I had a hor gar sai which is perfectly blended. Only sad part of the whole equation is no pork, imagine what kind of great traditional dishes they could whipped out like the traditional hainanese pork chop in gravy. .
Pretty nice Nasi Lemak but a little less great than the hype. Price is very decent for quantity though I would prefer spicier chilli and crispier ikan bilis. The rice volume is out of control. Slightly too much for most people.
